How to structure your content

Your help center is organized into a two-level structure: sections and collections.

Sections

Top-level navigation tabs that separate major content areas. Every help center has at least one section.

Collections

Folders inside sections that group related articles. Collections are the primary way you organize content.

Articles

Articles live inside collections. Each article answers a specific question or walks through a workflow.

Reorganizing your structure

You can reorganize your help center in the content tree:

  • Drag and drop to reorder items or move them between collections and sections

  • Use the breadcrumb selector when editing an article to change its placement

Fern can create sections and collections, but cannot move existing content between them. Use the content tree to reorganize.
