Fernand integration

Connect your Fernand account to Ferndesk so Fern can read your resolved tickets and identify documentation gaps.

Before you begin

You need an active Fernand account and an API key. If you do not have an account, create one on the Fernand website.

Find your connection details

  • Organization ID: Find this in your Fernand account settings. If you have trouble locating it, contact Fernand support.

  • API Key: Generate an API key in your Fernand account settings. Keep this key safe, you will not be able to view it again.

Connect Fernand

  1. Go to the Integrations page in your Ferndesk dashboard.

  2. Find the Fernand card and click Connect.

  3. Enter your Fernand Organization ID and API key in the connection modal.

  4. Click Connect to complete the setup.

Once connected, the Fernand card shows a Manage connections button.

What happens after connecting

Fern can read your resolved Fernand tickets to identify patterns in customer questions. Support trends from Fernand appear in Reporting under Intelligence. To automatically receive documentation gap recommendations, enable scheduled audits in Settings > Automations.
