Changelogs
A changelog is a collection type for dated, chronological content such as release notes and product updates. Publish an entry and it appears in your public changelog feed, newest first, where customers can browse it or subscribe to its RSS feed.
How changelogs work
You need edit permissions in your workspace to create and manage changelogs.
A changelog is created at a section root. It cannot be nested inside another collection and cannot contain sub-collections.
Entries are ordered by entry date, newest first. There is no manual drag ordering of entries.
Only published entries appear in the public changelog feed and in the Self-Service Widget.
RSS feeds
Every public changelog serves an RSS feed at its public page URL with /rss.xml appended. The feed holds up to 50 published entries, newest first, and each item links to the entry's canonical public page.
Localized feeds: A language-prefixed feed URL contains only the entries available in that translation, with translated titles and links. If the changelog has no translation in the requested language, the feed is not served. A language that is not configured on the help center serves the default-language feed.
Availability: Feeds are served only when your help center allows public anonymous access or indexing. Locked help centers do not serve feeds, and content gated by visibility is withheld.
Empty changelogs: An empty changelog produces an empty feed with no items.
