What are AI answers and PR reviews?
Your Ferndesk plan includes monthly allowances for AI answers and PR reviews. These are separate usage meters that let the AI assistant answer customer questions and check merged pull requests against your documentation.
AI answers
AI answers are consumed when visitors use the AI assistant in your help center or widget. Each answer generated by the AI counts against your allowance.

PR reviews
PR reviews are consumed when Fern automatically checks a merged pull request against your documentation to detect gaps or stale content.

Plan allowances reset each billing cycle. Purchased add-ons do not expire and do not reset.
Buying extra usage
If you run low, you can buy extra AI answers in packs of 500 or extra PR reviews in packs of 50 without changing your plan. See Buy additional usage for details.
Low-balance warnings
Admins see a low-balance banner when AI answers or PR reviews are running low or depleted. Click Manage usage on the banner to open Settings and buy more.
