Install the Chrome extension

The Ferndesk Chrome extension brings Fern to every webpage in your browser: chat, article search, and reply drafting without switching tabs. Install it from the Chrome Web Store in a few minutes.

Before you start, make sure you have an active Ferndesk account, Google Chrome version 114 or later, and an active Ferndesk login session in the same browser.

Install the extension

  1. Open Google Chrome on your desktop computer.

  2. Navigate to the Ferndesk extension page in the Chrome Web Store.

  3. Click the Add to Chrome button in the top right corner.

  4. In the confirmation dialog that appears, click Add extension.

  5. Chrome confirms the extension has been added with a brief notification.

Once installed, the extension works automatically. No additional configuration is required.

Pin the extension to your toolbar (optional)

  1. Click the puzzle icon (Extensions menu) in your Chrome toolbar.

  2. Find "Ferndesk" in the list.

  3. Click the pin icon next to it.

The Ferndesk icon now appears in your toolbar for quick access.
