How to change your help center's language

Change your help center's language to localize UI elements like search prompts, navigation, buttons, and AI assistant messages for international audiences.

This setting changes interface language only. Article content remains in its original language.

Supported languages

  • English (en)

  • French (Français/fr)

  • Spanish (Español/es)

  • German (Deutsch/de)

How to change the language

  1. Go to Help Center > Customize in your dashboard

  2. Find the Language section in the sidebar

  3. Select your language from the dropdown

  4. Preview the changes in the preview panel

  5. Click Save

Changes apply immediately. Users will see the new language when they visit your help center.

What gets translated

The language setting automatically localizes:

  • Search interface – Placeholder text and suggestions

  • Navigation – System labels and buttons

  • AI assistant – Greeting messages and prompts

  • Contact forms – Form labels and buttons

  • System messages – Errors and notifications

Article titles, content, and collection names are not translated. You must create content in each language separately.

Troubleshooting

Language not changing after save Make sure you clicked Save. Clear your browser cache or try an incognito window.

Articles still in wrong language The language setting only affects UI elements. Create new articles in your target language to localize content.

Preview not updating Refresh the preview panel or make another change to trigger an update.

The setting applies globally to your help center. Users cannot switch languages themselves, and there's no automatic language detection.
